Professor Rod Eadie is the head instructor for Eadie Academy BJJ and currently holds black belt's in Jiu Jitsu, Zen Do Kai, and Shaolin Kenpo. He began his martial arts journey in 1985 as a means of self-defence, which then blossomed into a positive lifestyle dedicated to competition and the development of artistic expression. Eadie Academy is situated at Scone in the beautiful Upper Hunter Valley of NSW and has been open to the community for over ten years.
Rod’s style of practice reflects the realism of self-defence from a career in law enforcement and competition. He believes that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one of a few remaining martial arts that carries a true warrior code and one that expunges fakery. “I am given wholly to the propagation of truth in martial arts practice and the wellbeing of my students, which is why I have dedicated myself to research and scholarly pursuits in martial arts studies”.
